Weekend Cap

We've had a fun filled weekend with lots of family. Every January, we get together with Dianna's side of the family for Christmas. It's great to see all their faces.  We don't see them often, so it's a treat to see them when we do.  Derick's family is like my own. So thankful for all of them.

It was extra special because Marcia and Ellie came too. This baby is PRECIOUS! I've honestly never seen such a happy baby. She definitely got lots of attention(how could you not with this face??)

It was a fun filled weekend but I'm glad to be home this Monday morning with Livy.  She asked for pancakes for breakfast and she ended up eating 3 pancakes.  I'm pretty sure she's on a growth spurt.  She'll be sporting high waters in a few weeks probably because I cannot keep this child clothed! I've had the hardest year fitting her for clothes.

Anyways, I'm thankful for this day at home with Livy.  She's playing in her toyroom and I'm fixing to tackle house cleaning.

Have a lovely week friends!

It's time.

I've been struggling with this certain pain in my back going on 3 1/2 years now.  It's been bearable until the last 6 months.  I've tried different options: Doctors and chiropractors,  X-Rays and physical therapy. Ibprophen and heating pads. My husband finally said that I really need to get "this" taken care of.(I'm sure he's tired of hearing me groan and moan). It's been so frustrating because I love to run. I've had to slow down because we're pretty sure that running has aggravated it.

I finally got some good recommendations on a good back doctor.  I had an appointment on Monday morning.  Finally, a doctor who was personable and wanting to help me. After a few questions and him looking at my back, he said he's pretty sure he knew what it was.  He scheduled me an MRI for this week with a follow up appointment next week. Praying for answers. Thankful for a doctor who has moved along this process so quickly to help find me relief.

Please say a prayer this week.  I would really like to get this resolved. I think we're on the right track. Thank you friends :)

Mid-January??

I can't believe we're half way through January.
We've done a new, few things to start off the new year.  Livy and I attended Basketball Homecoming last Friday night.  Livy and Tatum enjoyed all the girls in their pretty dresses.  Dianna so kindly took the kids on home and we were able to watch the game.  I was a nervous wreck while I watched our girl's team play.  I told Launi that they'll have to pull me out on a stretcher when our girls start playing ball, because I can't handle it. Geez Louise.

Livy and I headed to Tahlequah on Thursday(the day of 2012 first snow) to see a dear family friend from Ada.  Her and her husband just moved to Tahlequah. I grew up with her boys and they were a great family in our church where my dad pastored.  She took Livy and I to the sweetest Tea Room. We had a wonderful afternoon visiting with her.
Livy was excited for the snow(so was Sugar, her new dog).

I've never been one to rush the seasons, but I'm soo ready for some warm weather. Yesterdays weather was a huge teaser.  I grilled lunch and dinner and didn't even have to wear a jacket. We booked a girl's cruise for April.  I think that's why I'm rushing warm weather.  Ready for some fun in the sun.

But, for now I'll enjoy these cold days at home with the Livster :)

Pandora Stations

How many Pandora lovers do I have out there?

Pandora Radio has been my favorite app on my Iphone. I turn it on as soon as I wake up. It's been my saving grace as I do dishes, go for a run, clean house, or get in a specific mood( for example, Christmas). I listened to Christmas music starting back in August. I'm cool I know.

Anyways, what are some of your favorite stations on Pandora? I'm wanting some new ones to add to my playlist.

Have a wonderful day, friends:)

I resolute...

I'm not really one to make "New Year's Resolutions" but I have a few that I would really like to do.

* Open my home up to others more.
Our remodel has been complete for almost a year now.  I've hosted showers, parties, family dinners, etc..but I want my home to be a safe haven for everyone.  I want people to feel welcome as soon as they step into the door or even a dive into our pool. :) My plan is to have one family over once a month for Sunday lunch.  It's such a lost art these days.  Our Sundays are usually so busy.  I want to enjoy them with my family and friends.

*Complete a marathon.
My goal is to do the Route 66 Marathon in November 2012.  I will be relying on Launi to help me accomplish this feat.

* Read the Bible all the way through 2012. Jeff challenged the church Sunday with this.  Excited to see what the Lord has in store.

*Be more present with Derick and Livy. Technology is wonderful, but sometimes I find myself searching facebook, twitter, e-mail when I should be dedicating my time them.  The i-phone makes it so handy to get lost in the moment.  I need to put it away sometimes and enjoy my times with my family.

I'm excited for a new year. It's always nice to get a "fresh"start.
