6 Blessings
David and Marcia had Miss Elianna Grace last night. She is beautiful and perfect. As I looked at Ellie's picture last night, I thanked the good Lord that she arrived safely and is healthy! I am amazed how good God has been to our family. We love you Ellie, Tatum, Titus, and Eli!!

Coupon Craze
Is it just me or has couponing became quite the fad? A lot of my family and friends have gotten into it. I just kinda sat back and would watch all of them save all this $$. I tried a few times but it was epic FAIL. I decided I just didn't have the time or energy to do it. But, we have had a few unexpected expenses pop up in the past few months so I've tried to find creative ways to save a little money. As a SAHM, I don't bring the money home, but I think the Lord expects me to utilize my time and manage our money to help my family.
My sister-in-law Launi started couponing here recently and she encouraged me to do it with her. So, we ventured out last Sunday and gave it a shot. I only used 4 coupons(baby steps..haha), but was amazed how much stuff I got for very little $$. I think it's safe to say I was hooked after that. So, then my sister, Jennie(who is a pro at coupon shopping) gave me several coupons and gave me a Homeland Sales Paper and started teaching me the basics.
So, this morning Livy and I ventured off to do our coupon/grocery shopping. I had 12 coupons this time! It took a lot of time and prep to get these coupons ready. My strategy was to only use my coupon if it was on sale at Homeland this week. I got out of Homeland with a cart FULL of groceries for 36$! I saved over 50% on my entire bill. WOO HOO! It's very rewarding walking out of a grocery store with a cart full of groceries for my family....and....on top of that, I saved us money. I'm just a beginner and I don't plan on being an extreme couponer. I don't want to spend my days pilphering through papers and cutting out coupons, but it just took about an hour of my time to get everything ready and succeed on my first ever, BY MYSELF, coupon shopping adventure.

Girl on a Grill
Since we built on a back porch to go with our pool, I've taken quite an interest in grilling. We baught a pretty nice grill last summer but hardly ever used it. Baffling to the brain, I know. Derick has been grilling a lot for the past few weeks. But, last night, Katie took charge and fired up the grill. (I had no choice since Derick was off slaying snakes...that is another blog post in itself)! I have never grilled steaks by myself. Derick mumbled some tips to me, but I really didnt' pay attention as to what he was saying. Let's just say, I'm quite the grill master if I do say so myself. I cooked some juicy steaks, broasted some potatoes (a' la Diana Coverdell), green beans, and Italian french bread.
I think Derick was shocked with my mad grilling skills.
What shall I grill tonight!?
